Specialist, Order Management and Process Improvement


Main focus area of this position is to ensure Samsung has the best order management systems and processes in place to allow the timely and accurate processing of orders received from external customers and internal customers.   All orders must be processed in compliance with Samsung order management policies.  The Sr. Specialist is responsible for creating and developing policies and procedures for new programs ensuring accurate and efficient processing of orders across divisions. This position is responsible for implementing, training and executing effective and standardized programs across all divisions. Expert knowledge of SAP, EDI and a keen understanding of process mapping through all systems will be key to success in this position. This position will ensure systems and orders are up-dated with most current information (including pricing, SKU accuracy and quantities) and resolve data discrepancies with both internal and external customers ensuring issues are rectified in a timely manner.

  • Resolve escalated order issues from salesteams and customers
  • Initiate and implement improvement projects in areas such as FOC/EP and Sales Portal, Material Management, Customer ordering implementation projects(EDI)
  • Develop and implement enhancements of order management systems ensuring efficient flow of orders
  • Create manuals and standard operating procedures for third party supplier
  • Create and deliver policies and procedures for new accounts and sales programs
  • Responsible for EDI implementation of new customers, model mapping and maintenance of orders
  • Recommend best practices and implementation for newly introduced sales programs and procedures.   Recommend pricing program improvements on new sales programs being implemented as needed.
  • Assist in training third party BOC partner on processes and procedures and to ensure that the correct processes and procedures are being performed and followed
  • Ongoing communication with SECA sales representatives and customers regarding order issues
  • Responsible for managing inter-warehouse stock transfers on an exception basis
  • Follow up with customers on Logistic Returns and to try and resolve and save the sale with customer
  • Responsible for minimizing Compliance Charges and represent BOC team in post-audit reviews as needed
  • Responsible for SD module material maintenance;new and changing material codes (Sku’s)
  • Responsible for creating, supporting and maintaining Extended warranty, Software and Knox licence key orders through multiple Samsung internal systems. Reviewing, creating returns, completing and updating model masters and maintaining Standard Operating processes
  • Reviewing and analyzing pricing updates daily for all divisions and resolving all issues on a timely basis
  • Reviewing return requests with internal departments for clear resolution (Credit, logistic, MIS and Sales teams)
  • Planning & processing Standard Operational process for internal marketing program orders and sales incentive program. For example consignment/FOC/ Barter sales order and corporate program orders
  • Post-secondary education and or equivalent work experience is required

  • Customer relationship management skills

  • Expert knowledge of SAP (SD Module and MM Module) required

  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office products

  • Requires 3-5 years of related experience
