Our client, a prestigious firm in Downtown Ottawa, is recruiting to add a Procurement and Contracting Advisor in a full-time capacity with its team.
As the Procurement and Contracting Advisor you will be responsible for procurement and contracting where you will lead the full procurement life-cycle for complex goods and services necessary to support the organization in meeting its operational objective and procurement process while providing procurement expertise to management. You will be defining procurement sourcing solutions and strategies and continuous, develop and maintain relationships with management and project managers to develop forecasts, and procurement strategies.
As the Subject Matter Expert in complicated/escalated procurement situations, the Procurement and Contracting Advisor will be leaned on and be the go to with an open door policy in assisting others in the process.
Ideally you will have been part of IT procurement and have strong knowledge of IT processes to purchase Hardware and Software.

To be eligible for this Procurement and Contracting Advisor role you must be able to obtain a security clearance and have a proven track record of working in a complex organization. You must have a degree from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Commerce, Procurement or any other specialization related to this role.
You have 6 or more years of experience in the procurement industry, in-depth knowledge and experience in the full procurement life cycle for goods and services, analyzing requirements, review request for proposals, evaluations and contracts, very strong ability to write and review complex contract documents. Experience with negotiations and review of contracts.
Preferably, you have achieved designation as a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or are actively in the process to complete designation. You MUST be able to acquire SECRET Clearance. This is a mandatory requirement.
