NAV CANADA is currently seeking a seasoned senior leader to join its team as Assistant Vice President, Contracting, Logistics and Fleet.
The Assistant Vice President, Contracting, Logistics and Fleet will provide overall guidance and expert advice across the organization in the areas of contracting, logistics and fleet and deliver support in these areas to our internal clients. The role will negotiate contracts across a diverse range of commodities and provide expertise in various subjects such as weather, software, telecom, construction and consulting. The role will be responsible for building and managing a CAPEX and OPEX budget of mid-size and structure and sustain sufficient internal controls. The new Assistant Vice President, Contracting, Logistics and Fleet will explain complex contractual arrangements to the Executive Management Team and create meaningful business plans to set meaningful goals and focus efforts to drive value for NAV CANADA all the while building key relationships and collaborating with important stakeholders, leading a broader awareness of the organization and its mission.
As a well-qualified candidate, you have a degree in a business related area and a certification in Supply Management with 8-10 years progressive senior management experience in a procurement context. You have experience in contract and project management and Revenue Contracting for complex international technology agreements. You have detailed familiarity with Federal Government Contracting and knowledge of the Canadian and International Supply Base for relative commodities. A respected people leader with a positive and transparent team-oriented style, you are comfortable presenting plans to internal and external stakeholder including the Executive Management Committee. Bilingualism in both official languages is preferred but not essential.
