The Buyer is a critical member of the on-site procurement team, supporting site-level sourcing execution and cost management. Reporting to the Supply Chain Lead, the Buyer will primarily support the daily requirements of the procurement processes such as invoice and purchase order processing, managing local and certain regional sourcing initiatives, supporting site-level strategic efforts, managing local supplier relationships, and negotiate/assist in contract negotiations and site governance to the adherence of these contracts.
The Buyer will facilitate and support end users’ needs resulting from use of the center-lead strategic procurement process for sourcing and buying local goods and services as necessary, including providing appropriate and timely input to planning of day-to-day operating requirements and capital project needs; and assisting in RFx processes including developing proper scopes of work, evaluating bids, negotiation preparation and execution, completing and implementing local contracts. The Buyer will be required to provide procurement specific support to local site-based end users to complete material requisitions correctly and completely. Experience leading periodic performance, business, and financial reviews with local suppliers, based on agreed upon KPIs is required. The Buyer will ensure that KPI data is accurate and regularly updated.
The Buyer will possess a supply chain discipline with a minimum of four years’ experience in a procurement related function. Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement and/or Inventory Management are preferred. A degree in an engineering or business discipline will also be considered.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other MS Office applications
