Currently working on an exciting 18 months contract Assistant Purchaser opportunity for our client, a leader in the food industry in Vaughan. The main responsibilities for this role involve: analysing sales pattern, inventory levels and lead times and making recommendations to the sales team, performing cost-benefit analysis and creating POs. The Assistant Purchaser will also work closely with the sales analysts on pricing and support all the sales team.
- 3 or more years of Procurement/ Purchasing/ Buying experience ideally from the food industry
- Excellent Excel (pivot tables) and analytical skills
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision making and time management skills
- Post-secondary education
