Responsibilities are challenging and complex and require in-depth knowledge and experience in this arena including:



  • All matters related to purchase contracts and lease agreements for aircraft acquisition
  • All matters related to sale, lease or sub-lease with customers for surplus aircraft being sold or leased to third parties
  • The purchase of spare engines


Significant and critical input to major management decisions regarding:

  • Development and execution of the overall integrated fleet plan
  • Management of the company’s relationships with major international aircraft manufacturers and lessors


Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 15+ years’ experience in the fleet/aircraft transactions arena in the international airline or airline-related context
  • Widely recognized as a strong contract negotiator, with a proven track-record leading and closing highly beneficial/win-win transactions with commercial aircraft operating lessors on both inbound and outbound transactions
  • Has led, or actively participated in, several major fleet renewal campaigns, in the narrow- and wide-body aircraft, RJs, engines and components’ sectors
  • Effective liaison with other airlines, equipment lessors, OEMs and financial advisors, developing a significant network of relationships and contacts within this international aircraft and engine transaction community
  • Able to work professionally and knowledgeably across internal and external organizational lines (with finance, operations, engineering and network scheduling), demonstrating strong teamwork and communications skills
  • Action- and result-oriented, with strong executive presence, energy and enthusiasm
  • Education: Bachelor degree in engineering or college diploma in business administration or airline-related administrative services field is required
  • Fluent in English (both speaking and writing) and that bilingual English & French (both speaking and writing) is highly desirable
  • Able to travel
  • Location: Montreal
  • Compensation: $150K-$160K plus disability, health, dental & life insurance as well as pension benefits
  • This permanent position is based on a 40-hour work week.
