Job Description

We are currently looking for an Inventory Supervisor to join our team. This key position within the maintenance management team is responsible for the daily supervisory responsibilities to ensure a productive and engaged inventory stores department, while meeting the needs of the mill and driving improvement.


•Education Required: 2 Years successful completion of a post-secondary program

•Years of Experience Required: 2 - 5 years of experience in an inventory management environment

•Previous experience with material management and inventory control

•Good written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of management at Irving Paper, maintenance, vendors and purchasers

•Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

•Strong computer skills with various applications related to equipment and inventory controls •Understanding of industrial equipment and assorted components is essential Key Responsibilities:

•Responsible for the physical custody and accuracy of inventory records for component items, assemblies, and/or finished goods in store

•Supervises the activities of stores personnel

•Responsible for the proper inventory and care of all mill related inventory and providing support to the maintenance and operations groups

•Individual will operate in the Enterprise One system to procure and create work orders as needed

•Familiar with the software to operate an efficient Stores department (i.e. Basware and DSI systems)

•Strict inventory controls will need to be followed to ensure proper stocking and cost savings

•Safety KPI’s with respect to the Stores department •Improve efficiencies, housekeeping and uphold standards in Stores

•Drive engagement
