Our client is a leader in servicing the hydro industry and looking to bring on-board a Buyer.

The Buyer will be responsible for placing purchaser orders, working with internal and external stakeholders, identifying cost saving opportunities and managing the day to day operations. This Buyer will be issuing RFP’s and also assisting teams members on cross-border activities. The hands-on experience in logistics activities and documentations would be an asset towards this role. This role will require you to purchase small and large equipment along with supporting buys in other areas. You will be working closely with existing suppliers but also taking identify new sources, when needed.
As the ideal Buyer for this role you must have experience in being a valuable contributor and the ability to work in fast paced environment. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management and custom procedures. You must have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of urgency and the ability to escalate issues that may surface in the purchasing process. Aside from purchasing skills you must also have strong technical skills in excel and strong working knowledge of SAP. Experience working with SAP - MM Module is a Key requirement for this role.
