Our Client is a large technology organization and is in the midst of hiring a Category Manager for their Strategic Sourcing Group.
The Category Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the Sr. Category Manager on sourcing strategies, executing the RFX process from start to finish and leading negotiations. The Category Manager will be responsible for owning the Non-IT categories and will be responsible for supporting internal stakeholders to lead sourcing projects for HR, Finance, Insurance and Travel. You will be responsible for managing the Procurement and Strategic Sourcing process from start to finish. Your ability to manage procurement initiatives and build relationships will be a key part of this role. This is a highly strategic role therefore your ability to identify cost saving opportunities and manage professional service projects is key. Having the expertise of managing the sourcing process from start to finish is key and knowledge of the vendor base for Non-IT Categories is essential.
You must have 3 to 5 years of experience in end to end Procurement and Contract management of Professional services categories. You must have experience working autonomously within a Procurement team and managing the contract process. You must have experience in the Procurement of service categories like HR, Finance, Insurance OR Travel. Strengths in two or more of the listed categories is key. You must have the ability to make strategic recommendations, have a solid Procurement foundation and exceptional communication skills. You must have strong excel skills and the ability to extract and analyse spend data. Also, it is essential for you to have previous experience supporting internal stakeholders with professional services projects.
