The Procurement and Inventory Manager works under the direction of the Departmental Comptroller and is responsible for managing, supervising and coordinating the procurement, inventory and contract management functions for the Department of Public Transportation. This includes ensuring that availability of sufficient inventory, spare parts and fuel to meet the demands of the department. The post holder is also accountable for supply chain management, inventory systems management and adherence to legislation, safety and organizational policies and procedures and will be required to partner and consult with key department stakeholders.

Applicants must have a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or the equivalent in a relevant subject matter as well as possess a Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or equivalent from a recognized institute. A minimum of ten years’ of procurement and inventory experience within a computerized inventory management environment along with five years in a management role is also required
